Josephine Brereton

Hello and welcome to my website! I'm Jo, and I am a passionate soprano and music educator currently studying my Bachelor of Music Education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, majoring in Classical Voice. I am a passionate teacher and performer and believe in the ability of all people to learn and enjoy music, regardless of age or perceived ability. Music is my greatest joy, and in my classrooms I want to provide a safe and encouraging space that students can feel a sense of growth, achievement and pride in their learning that creates confidence outside the classroom. Please get in contact to inquire about performances and lessons - I can't wait to work with you!

I highly recommend Josephine for anyone looking for a capable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and qualified teacher. There are many singing teachers who unfortunately do not possess the technical skills and knowledge to teach students safely and correctly, which leaves students at risk of harming their young voices.

It was important for me to ensure my daughter’s singing teacher possessed the knowledge and skill to protect her growing voice and teach her correct singing technique.

Josephine has not only provided lessons built upon the firm foundations of strong knowledge and excellent qualifications, she has ensured that her lessons were engaging and enjoyable. My daughter would come home from each lesson inspired and excited with each new song or technique she had discovered. Josephine clearly has a love of what she does and is able to share that passion with her students.
