Starter Activity
Students will begin with a soundscape exercise, using their voices and body percussion to create a scene of their choosing (e.g. thunderstorm, rainforest, beach, busy road). They should be thinking about sound effects they could use in their practice task. Ideally it should also calm them before the practice exam.

Lesson Body

Students will access the video clip on their computers and open soundtrap, after watching the video through once they may begin to compose. In accordance with the assessment task notification they will be allowed 40 minutes. The supervising teacher is able to assist with any technological issues, however they must not interfere with any musical or compositional challenges.

Conclusion
Students should save their work and email what they have completed to the teacher for marking/feedback. Students should reflect on what they found most challenging in this task and what they will need most help with next week in their revision week.
