Starter Activity
All students should begin by listening to the beginning of Wait a Minute! by WILLOW, and listen to the simple drum beat throughout. They will notate the rhythm as a class on the board and then play it briefly on their chairs

Lesson Body

Student should break into groups of four (they may choose their groups) and should begin to write their own drum beat for this song given only the instructions to:
1. Make sure their rhythm is 4 or 8 boxes/beats long
2. Put one, two or no sounds in each box
3. Make sure they can notate and play it together
4. Make it more interesting than the original rhythm
They should be given a deadline of 5(ish) minutes to complete this before they perform their drum lines for the rest of the class with the dreamless track.
One person from each group should be asked to put their rhythm up on the powerpoint.

Conclusion
Have the students perform each others rhythms with the song, time providing, they should choose an appropriate point in the song for a "moment of silence".
